Biographie
Ted Larsen (né en 1964, États-Unis) est un artiste exposé internationalement, récipiendaire de la Fondation Pollock-Krasner, diplômé de la Northern Arizona University. Le travail qu'il crée fournit des commentaires sur les systèmes de croyances minimalistes et à propos de l'importance ultime de la pratique des Beaux-Arts. Depuis 2001, Larsen utilise des matériaux alternatifs et de récupération dans ses créations.
 
Le travail de Ted Larsen a été largement exposé dans des fondations privées et des musées aux États-Unis, notamment le New Mexico Museum of Art de Santa Fe, The Albuquerque Museum, The Amarillo Museum of Art, The Spiva Center for the Arts à Joplin, Missouri, et le Philadelphia Museum of Art, ainsi que dans plus de 100 expositions en galerie. Il a été récipiendaire de la Surdna Foundation et de la Pollock Krasner Foundation, et été en résidence à la Edward F. Albee Foundation et au Asilah Arts Festival au Maroc, où il a été choisi pour être le représentant des Etat-Unis. Il a donné des conferences à la South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts de Greenville, South Carolina; University of Art and Design de Santa Fe, New Mexico; The Palm Springs Art Museum, Palm Springs, California; The New Mexico Museum of Art, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Site Santa Fe, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Texas Society of Architects, Dallas, Texas; the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Boulder, Colorado; the Denver Museum of Art, Denver, Colorado.
 
Ted Larsen a été présenté dans Flash Art, Whitehot, Ocula Art, Art in American, ArtNews, SouthWest Art, Mountain Living, Architectural Digest, Sculpture Magazine et Art Gallery International. Il a notamment été chroniqué dans le New York Times, le Philadelphia Inquirer, le Denver Post et le Dallas Morning News. Le travail de Larsen apparaît dans les livres « Art On The Edge », « Biennial Southwest », « The Curtain of Trees », « New American Paintings » et « Millennium Collection ». Le service de radiodiffusion publique (PBS) a produit une interview avec Larsen.
