A sweeping and free-flowing brushstroke. Colour that vibrates and comes to life. A body of work that speaks of the world and the fleeting brilliance of life. Christian Sorg’s artistic exploration is deeply personal and gives voice to the essential elements of painting: colour, brushstroke and line.
His artworks are currently on display in Spain. The Museo Juan Cabré in Calaceite has dedicated an exhibition to the French painter: " Christian SORG. Un Verano Compartido ". Running until 27 September, it showcases a series of artworks made in the province of Teruel last summer.
During this period, Sorg temporarily set up his studio in a courtyard workshop on Santa Bárbara Street in Calaceite and in the surrounding areas of Cretas to pursue his artistic research. The exhibition therefore brings together six drawings and four large-scale paintings produced during his residency.
An evocative landscape – blending nature and villages – which has been inspiring the artist for over 30 years.
